String Project

Featuring group lessons for beginning string students playing violin, viola, cello, or string bass.

Fall semester begins September 16, 2025

Spring semester begins January 20, 2026

 

The String Project is part of a national consortium that provides group instruction for string players. The classes are taught by University of Redlands music majors under the supervision of Master Teacher Becky Long and String Project Director Dr. Sakura Tsai.

To enroll, submit a completed registration form to the Community School of Music and the Arts by email or mail. Students must be members in good standing of their school music programs in order to participate.

The University of Redlands School of Music String Project is funded through a grant from the National String Project Consortium (NSPC) which was made possible through a grant from the Clarence E. Heller Charitable Foundation.
