Producing a rich variety of plays and musicals, the Department of Theatre & Dance at University of Redlands helps students bring these stories to life on stage with the expertise of our seasoned technical directors and creative professionals.

Dia de los Muertos and Other Folk Tales

Written and directed by Gregory Ramos

Performance Dates:
November 6th at 7:30pm
November 7th at 2pm and 7:30pm
November 8th at 2pm

Synopsis:

A collection of short stories and fables recounted by Josie. We walk through memory and imagination with her as she and the rest of the ensemble perform the stories her grandmother told. From haunted gardens and hidden treasure to spurned love and the making of a believer, Josie and Josefina wave together beautiful tales from their own childhoods and beyond.

These Shining Lives

Synopsis:

A retelling of real events and women who fought for what is right, we follow five women who meet while working at the Radium Dial Company. Over time, they come to learn that one cannot properly weigh pros and cons if the true cost is kept from them.

The Marriage of Figaro

Synopsis:

This commedia per musica (comedic opera) tells the tale of Figaro and is wife-to-be Susanna overcoming the many things that stand between them and their marriage ceremony. This production is a collaborative work between the theatre and dance department and the department of music.
