About Wes Head
Wes Head is the Interim Chief Information Officer at the University of Redlands and leads Information Technology Services in advancing the University’s academic and administrative mission through secure, reliable, and user-centered technology. With 30 years in information technology—18 of them at Redlands—Wes partners with academic and administrative leaders to support enterprise applications, data and analytics, identity and information security, classroom and AV technologies, and campus infrastructure and client services.
An alumnus of the University of Redlands School of Business, Wes brings a track record of simplifying complexity and delivering outcomes that matter to students, faculty, and staff. His leadership emphasizes clear decision-making, transparent communication, and collaboration—aligning people, process, and technology to create systems that enable colleagues to do their best work. Before serving as Interim CIO, he held leadership roles within ITS that supported the University’s networks, servers, ERP, web, applications, and technology support functions.
Office of the Chief Information Officer
The CIO leads the Office of Information Technology Services and provides University-wide strategic direction for instructional technology, enterprise applications and data, systems and network infrastructure, information security and identity, media services and classroom technologies, and client support. The office partners with academic and administrative units to improve service, strengthen resilience, and steward technology investments that support student success and operational excellence.
