About Lauren Means

With over three years of experience in higher education, I am passionate about supporting students through every step of their academic journey. At the University of Redlands, I provide personalized advising, academic planning, and holistic support services that help students thrive. I have held multiple roles including Student Success Advisor, Project Specialist, and Counselor, where I collaborated with students, faculty, and staff to resolve challenges, create success workshops, and improve retention strategies. Prior to Redlands, I served as a Completion Coach and Health & Wellness Intern at Crafton Hills College, focusing on student engagement, mental wellness, and transfer preparation. My approach is inclusive, data-informed, and always student-centered.

Fun bio

Hi there! I’m a proud Redlands local who loves exploring the world through books, travel, and food. When I’m not advising students or building academic plans, you’ll likely find me trying a new recipe, checking out a local restaurant, or getting totally immersed in a good novel. I'm a big Star Wars fan and a lifelong Lego enthusiast (yes—those giant, complicated sets bring me serious joy!). I also enjoy staying active and make time to work out regularly. I’m always happy to chat—whether it’s about your classes, career goals, or just which movie or meal you should try next. I’m here to help, and I’m excited to get to know you!
