Research Interests
Michael MacQueen's current research endeavors are collaborative and often interdisciplinary. Colleagues at the University of Redlands and he have worked together on the creation of five textbooks in accounting and finance. They conducted this research with three purposes in mind: (1) to advance the study of accounting and financial reporting and thereby improve the value of such to society, (2) to enhance the body of knowledge in adult business education generally, and accounting and finance specifically, and (3) to improve the learning experience of finance and accounting students, particularly those enrolled in accelerated business programs.
In addition, he is collaborating with colleagues in the United Kingdom and Ireland on the topic of "Practice Intelligence" and the integration of experiential learning programs into business education.
