About

Keri A. Then is a visiting lecturer in information technology (IT), geographic information systems (GIS), and data analytics, School of Business & Society, University of Redlands. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the Bachelor of Science in Business and Master of Business Administration programs. She is the recipient of the School of Business 2017 Excellence in Teaching award and was selected as one of the best instructors in 2018. Then is also an elected member of the Riverside Community College District, Governing Board of Trustees, representing Area 5, City of Moreno Valley, and the surrounding area.

She is the former director of Enterprise Services, Information Technology Services, University of Redlands, where she managed operational systems providing communications, media services, systems, networking, geospatial research, and residential network services. She is also a former senior development engineer, University of California, Riverside, where she led major projects upgrading voice, data, and fiber optic cabling systems at the university.

Then has completed a Doctor of Business Administration, information systems emphasis, Argosy University. Her dissertation, entitled "Factors Related to the Adoption of Information Technology Emerging Technologies by Research and Non-Research Based Universities," was published in the Research in Higher Education Journal, February 2013. She received a certificate for successful curricular innovation from the University of Redlands' Center for Business GIS & Spatial Analysis, for a 2014 case study entitled "Non-Profit Needs to Recruit More Cities to Fund 2-1-1 Call Center."

She is also the author of a business GIS case study entitled "Locate San Francisco Student Apartment near Starbucks," also available from the Center. She has completed a Master of Science in telecommunications, University of Colorado Boulder (2000), and a Master of Science in international relations, Troy State University (1998). Then is a Master Telecommunications Engineer, certified by the International/National Association for Radio, Telecommunications, and Electromagnetics Engineers (expired January 2026).
