About

Yilan Liu has clinical experience working with children and adolescents with a wide range of communication disorders. Her research interests include artificial intelligence applications in communication disorders, speech production in children with cleft palate, and Mandarin–English bilingual language assessment.

She has collaborated with interdisciplinary teams in linguistics, computer science, and human–computer interaction to design and evaluate telehealth platforms and AI-assisted tools for language assessment. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.
